Imagine
yourself as one of the disciples on this day. You had put all of your hope in Jesus being
the Messiah, left everything and everyone behind to follow him and thought he
was going to finally take over Rome, eliminate persecution and bring heaven to earth. Instead, he’s dead. Was it all a lie? Did I place all of my faith in a fake?
What
feels dead in your life? What has
brought you heartache and grief? Where
has life not met your expectations?
Where have your hopes been shattered?
What might it look like if you could accept and trust that despite not understanding God’s plan that it is good?
